If you are a higher education course tutor and you would like your qualification to be part of GMSA Pathways, please visit www.gmsa.ac.uk/addprogressionagreements

GMSA Pathways is launching today. Ten thousand vocational students at Level 3 each have access to hundreds of higher education courses, thanks to signed agreements between colleges and universities in Greater Manchester.

“I’d always thought the next step was very straight forward and obvious; I hadn’t ever realised I could go into something like construction,” says Rebecca Lennon, after browsing GMSA Pathways for just a few minutes: “I’m very tempted by the idea; I bet not many girls do construction courses.”

GMSA Pathways is an online enquiry service unlike any other. The easy to use search tool enables Greater Manchester learners, on Level 3 vocational qualifications, to search higher education courses, at 18 local institutions, that match their grade profile.

More than a hundred new progression routes have been created for vocational learners in Greater Manchester since July - because of additions to GMSA Pathways. Students who wish to study engineering will particularly benefit.
