Purpose of the group

• To support the development of coherent Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) for vocational and work-based learners progressing into and through higher education
• To align GMSA Life-long Learning Network IAG policies and strategies with strategic aims and  provide expert advice and further develop GMSA activity
• To work in partnership to develop a combined approach for IAG that supports progression of work-based and vocational learners
• To consider the impact of ongoing changes in IAG for Greater Manchester learners
• To action focused task groups for specific activity where appropriate
• To provide a coherent source of provision information for learners
• To provide clear guidance to GMSA Sector Development Group Special projects in relation to IAG
