The GMSA works with other key partners, beyond those involved directly in the Sector Development Groups, to help add value to our projects and to ensure we maximise fully the potential impact of our activities.
We work closely with Aimhigher Greater Manchester in providing the pathways for progression for learners who are involved directly in their activities. The 14-19 diplomas are a key focus of our joint activity where we are working closely with all boroughs across Greater Manchester through Aimhigher to develop clear progression pathways from the level three diplomas into a wide range of higher education opportunties.
Aimhigher's Uni4me project also promotes the GMSA Pathways directly to learners in schools and colleges across Greater Manchester and other Aimhigher projects provide direct advice support.
We work closely with Fdf in supporting the development of foundation degrees that provide new progression opportunities for learners to progress to higher education, GMSA have also been directly involved in supporting the development of the Fdf-led employer-based training accreditation project.
Providing clear information on opportunities for work-based and vocational learners is a key activity of the GMSA and the GMSA Advisory group, including those agencies who work directly with these learners such as The Careers Service, Connexions, Job Centre Plus, Next Step, Unionlearn and the LSC.
